The project ‘Green Focus’ comprises two series of photographs which both show man’s desire to tame his natural, green world:

Korakuen.  The Korakuen garden in Okayama is one of the three great ‘stroll’ gardens in Japan.   A stroll garden is designed for

leisurely walking and viewing.  It features a meandering path that reveals a series of carefully designed vistas, often around a

central pond or water feature.  The design encourages visitors to explore and discover new perspectives as they move through

the garden.  The planting is highly formal.

Flora.  Flora is defined as all the plant life present in a particular region or time.  In this series, the majority of the photographs

are those of the plants and flowers found in the National Botanic Garden of Wales, near Carmarthen.  However, there are also

images of water lilies, topiary, trees and shrubs from other areas.   Close ups of individual flowers, groups of flowers, and wider

views of flowering plants and trees are grouped systematically.

All the photographs were taken with digital cameras in 2024 and 2025.
